Classic Matte Look | Lips & Eyes

At this time of year I love a matte makeup look, a deeper look on the lips and a natural eye looks perfect together! So I thought I'd show you the products I've been using recently to create this makeup, (above) which I've been doing a lot recently!

Firstly the eyes - Stila Eyeshadow - eden - I use this all over the eye lid and add a little extra in the crease of the eye to create more depth. It is is a lovely matte beige shade, so it creates a natural look for everyday, perfect to match with a bold lip.
Lord & Berry Black Eye Pencil - I love this, it is a very dark shade and runs along the eye very smoothly. I feel it makes my eyes look much bigger and doesn't smudge at all! The one I have is also really big so I think it will last ages, so it may be a little pricey but I'm sure it'll all be worth it in the long run.
Collection liquid Liner & Loreal Telescopic Mascara - These two products I recently spoke about in a must have makeup post on Eyes (click to check it out) these are my everyday eye products so they had to go in this post! (yep, I can't seem to give them enough credit!)

Lips - Lord & Berry Lipliner - Blush - I used this for my Kylie Jenner Look yes it isn't a red, its more of a dark nude but I just love it for under any deeper or nude lipstick! It makes it last much longer and is a perfect matte!
Sleek Lipstick - Vamp - A classic matte deep red, perfect for the autumn/winter and lasts ages on the lips without drying them out! I have used this a lot already this autumn, I think I need to purchase more Sleek lip products, since I've been so happy with the products I have purchased recently!

If you want to find out what face makeup I used, I recently wrote a blog post on it all about my Face Products (just click to check them out! I've been using these products together for a while now!)

This is a really quick, easy matte makeup look but I feel it looks classic and put together without having to use many products! You could use this easily throughout the day or evening, just wear a natural matte eye and add a beautiful, bold lip and your ready to go! I'm sure I'll be doing this a lot throughout winter, especially for any christmas parties or family gatherings.

Hope you liked this post! :)

Do you have any favourite matte products you've been loving lately?

St.Tropez vs St.Moriz

I have to admit nothing beats a fresh glowing tan, whether it's natural from the sun or straight out of the bottle! Being that little bit bronzed, makes me feel so much better.

I want to talk about the products above,  St.Tropez and St.Moriz and my thoughts and experiences of them! I use both and they are very similar products to one another, apart from the obvious fact that St.Moriz is a much cheaper dupe product for St.Tropez! But does it achieve the same results? Hear my experiences of each product...

Firstly St.Tropez! I use the original bronzing mousse (I have used their other products but this is by far my favourite!) I have to admit this is the best false tan I have used and trust me I have tried so many, but I know unfortunately,  it is a little bit on the pricey side. I love the mousse formula, it comes out the shade of the tan so you can make sure it is streak free and even. It then takes moments to dry once you have applied, which I love because I hate the sticky feeling when a tan seems to take forever to dry, so this is a must for me. I apply the product with a tan mitt and leave it to develop for 4 hours or more allowing the colour to deepen and set a beautiful, natural bronzed shade. I find it doesn't have a very strong smell like most do, yes it does smell like false tan, but I have never found one without any smell so this has been the best so far in that area! Lastly, one of the best things I find about St.Tropez is you only need to apply it once to get a natural even glow and it lasts for up to a week later, without fading and doesn't leave a patchy residue on the skin which is great and exfoliates away evenly!

St.Moriz is a whole lot cheaper, which is a major plus to start with! If you don't have much to spend it is definitely a good alternative. The formula is also a mousse and comes out the shade of the tan just like St.Tropez (this is the dark one, so you don't need a lot). It applies great and I was really impressed with it, as it also dried quite quickly. Although it does contain a much stronger smell which can sometimes be a little overpowering. The shade does deepen quite a lot and sometimes makes me think Ahhhh! this is too dark, but once you shower the excess washes off and surprisingly it doesn't leave a lot of the colour, I find it instantly fades a lot after one wash, so I do have to apply another coat to get the colour I like. Compared to St. Tropez this tan doesn't last to long on the skin afterwards and after a couple of days it does start to become patchy, but other than that I am surprised at how good it is for such an affordable price.

I definitley prefer St.Tropez as it is better quality and I love the finishing result when applying, but for a cheaper alternative I would certainly not hesitate to repurchase St.Moriz. I love the formula and think it is a good false tan for the price, as it is expensive to continuously repurchase St.Tropez, but it is a excellent treat once in a while.

Have you tried either of these products? What would you go for? :)

Bedroom Decor | Girly Vintage Theme

I thought I'd show you a few of my favourite things in my room at the moment, when I last decorated I wanted to go with a bright, fresh girly theme whilst adding a few vintage accessories here and there! I wanted to go all out and colourful with my accessories, since I have a lot of white and ivory, except one statement rose coloured wall!
My next bedroom makeover will probably be more deeper, neutral colours, but for now I like it young and bright, adding new little pieces as I see them! (and yes, there is a lot of flowers and cute little quotes along the way)...

(yeah, I liked this canvas, so I bought 3..haha, but I think they go perfectly together on the statement wall!)

(I love this picture, it's so beautiful, probably one of my favourite pieces in my bedroom!)

(My little white/ivory tree! This is contains cute little statement ornaments I pick up whenever I come across them at little markets or gifts I get off people, which I hang on to the branches. I do love a nice little quote as well, nothing like some nice words to lift your spirits - right ?!)

Hope you enjoyed seeing some of my nice little keepsakes and favourite things from my bedroom, I don't know maybe you might find a little inspiration if your looking to redecorate or just like me and enjoy reading a little home decor post once in a while!

Thank you for reading :)

Makeup Must Haves | Eyes

So onto my next Makeup Must Haves post! My first one was on my favourite Face products, but today it's all about the eyes! These are a couple of drugstore products which I use everyday, which I'm really happy with and they are super affordable (this makes me even happier!)...

Sleek Eye Palette - Oh so special, Collection Liquid Eyeliner - Black,
Loreal False Lash Telescopic - Magnetic Black

As you can see these are the products above, along with how they look on the eyes, making me feel more awake and ready for the day, really easy to use and super natural for an everyday look!

Firstly, Sleek Eye Palettes - The one I use for an everyday look is Oh so special, it is beautiful with both shimmer and matte neutral brown/pink shades which is perfect for a natural look and you can blend a load of colours together and they blend perfectly. Above I used the matte cream shade all over the eye then a brown medium shimmer shade with the dark brown shimmer in the crease making a slight smoky eye to create depth and make the eye appear larger! Sleek has so many great products especially palettes which I will be purchasing more of, the colour pigment is fantastic and the colours are beautiful!

Collection Liquid Eyeliner - This is a felt tip  pen liquid liner so it is really easy to use to create a steady line (it takes a little practice, but believe me it's the easiest I have ever used!) because it is exactly like a felt tip pen, its easy to hold on to and the colour doesn't run, once you have got the idea of using it, it's quick and simple (just how I like it!). The Collection brand is really affordable and I am really impressed with a lot of the products, which I'm sure I will talk about soon, so watch this space!

Loreal Telescopic Magnetic Black - This mascara, is simply wonderful! I have used it for years and I still love it like no other! It has a thin comb brush so it is great for lengthening which I love! I've used so many mascaras which I've found fine, but I am always drawn back to this one, I love the intense black shade and the way it separates the lashes without clumps and looks so natural with great length.

These are definitely my drugstore favourites, which I use as my everyday makeup for the eyes. I am super impressed with each product and find them easy and quick to work with, as well as giving a great overall finish to the eyes.

Have you tried any of these products, what's your thoughts? :)

The Kylie Jenner Inspired Lip

One of the most talked about makeup looks this year has got to be Kylie Jenner's new image and I can see why, she looks great!
The overdrawn nude/mauve lips is one of her signature looks and I have searched high and low to find products similar to recreate a look inspired by Kylie. These are the products which I think work perfectly to create this look...

Lipstick: Rimmel London 104 (Kate Moss) Lip Liner: Lord & Berry #3034 Blush

These are the two products I used, firstly applying the lip liner all over the lip, as well as over drawing around the edges of the lip to create the ultimate pout like Kylie Jenner (I felt like my lips looked huge, it would definitely take a while to get used to doing this!). The liner is quite a dark nude/pink but very matte, which is perfect for the look but I thought I needed a lighter lipstick to add more colour to the lips. After trying a bunch of matte lipsticks I finally came across this Rimmel colour, which isn't extremely matte but works really well just adding a little life to the lips, then blotting with a paper towel, the two different shades work perfectly together. I know the images above seem nothing like overall finish (trust me I was surprised as well) but the secret behind this look is the lip liner, a dark nude matte colour is the ultimate lip product for a Kylie Jenner lip, the lipstick just adds a little extra touch.

Kylie Jenner's make up always looks flawless and always leaves you thinking I wonder what products she's using!? So it was fun to try and recreate this look inspired by her.

I hope you enjoyed reading!
Have you found any products similar to the Kylie Jenner lip? Let me know!

Favourites I Can't Live Without | Skincare

Skincare is a big deal for me! I love trying different products and seeing how they feel on my skin because let's face it we all love a freshly pampered good skin day. I know skincare is difficult at times because you just never know if it'll work for you, sometimes we just have to try and hope for the best! I feel this way a lot as my skin is oily and not everything works for me, I can't use anything too hydrating or thick, so I have to be careful when shopping around for new products!

After I finish products it's not very often I constantly repurchase them again because I like to try new things, but these products above have been my must have skincare items so far this year which I have repurchased and cannot seem to move on from and as you can see it's time to buy them again...

Firstly, Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - Let's start from the basics, taking our makeup off! (the not so fun part about makeup) Sometimes it feels it's such a chore, using an eye makeup remover, then a cleanser, then back in to remove any excess product, then you think just pass me a face wipe! I don't like using face wipes everyday and only use them as a last resort, but they always seem so handy as they remove everything! That was until I came across this product, I have used cleansing waters in the past but found they didn't remove everything and you end going through half a pack of cotton wool by the time you have finished. But this just seems to melt everything away without having to use a lot of product! AND can i just say, it can be used for face, eyes and lips..(I know, it sounds to good to be true) It has been a life saver over the past few months for me, its super quick and really affordable for a 400ml bottle so it lasts a while even when using it everyday.

Origins Modern Friction - Also known as Nature's gentle dermabrasion. I use this product to exfoliate my skin 1-2 times a week to remove any dead skin and to leave my skin feeling new again! my favourite thing about this product is it isn't rough, it does exactly as it says and feels gentle as you scrub your skin, as some exfoliaters are very harsh and can even sometimes hurt the skin and feel uncomfortable. This is lovely and makes my skin feeling the best it has ever felt, smooth, soft and squeaky clean without any redness or discomfort, this is the second bottle I have purchased, meaning top marks from me!

Origins GinZing Moisturiser - Honestly I have been really impressed with Origins this year, this is the first product I purchased from them and since then I have tried all sorts of goodies! I can be very fussy about moisturiser as I don't like a thick substance and prefer it to sink into my skin evenly leaving the skin feeling refreshed, so until I came across the GinZing I was struggling to find a product I was really happy with. I use this day and night, it is in a gel like form and also smells of oranges, which is always a plus! It feels non-greasy on the skin and feels almost cooling when you apply,  making you feel awake and refreshed as it soaks into the skin. This is definitley a must have for me, it has been the best moisturiser I have used so far!

It is always a good feeling when you are well and truly satisfied when you have finished a product and want to repurchase it again (not so good for your purse!) I just thought these needed to have a moment in the limelight I was that impressed!

Have you finished any skincare products lately which you would repurchase and recommend?? :)
