It's All About NYX | Suede Liquid Lipsticks

I'm back! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are trying to keep that festive feeling on the lead up to New Year - I sure am! I thought I'd share with you some new purchases which I am extremely happy with - they will also be great for a look for New Years Eve, which will last the entire night....

I recently blogged about the Stila liquid lipstick and since trying that and falling in love, I thought I would branch out and try a few more liquid lipsticks and having heard great things about NYX that was my first stop!

I chose these 3 beautiful shades - there was a huge choice but I decided on a nude, pink and red/plum tone to see how very different colours looked/ lasted!

Firstly this is Soft Spoken - a lovely nude shade, it does come out slightly darker than it looks on the lips but it came out even better than I thought - it reminds me of a Kylie Jenner lip - I love it and I'm not used to brown shades so this was unusual for me..

Next up is Tea & Cookies - which is a baby pink shade and came out lighter on the lips than I thought. I have to admit this is my least favourite of the three but I think this is because I am not used to light pinks I always go for something brighter - so maybe I just need to get used to it, I'm definitely not ruling it out yet - if you like a light pink,  you'll love it!

Last but certainly not least is Cherry Skies - which has got to be my favourite! Probably because I love darker plum/red shades at this time of year but it is beautiful definitely going to be this New Years lip of choice! (does look darker in person on the lip)

Overall the Liquid Suede Lipsticks are amazing -  I am really impressed especially for £6.50 - I will be buying more that's for sure! The range is great and is at such an affordable price. All of the shades dry to matte but don't feel dry and flaky like other matte lipsticks I've tried in the past - plus you don't have to worry about re-applying for hours,  so if you want something long lasting these are for you. I don't even need a lip liner I simply line my lips with the end of the applicator and fill in the rest - you do need to be careful as the liquid is a little thin but once it is set you don't have to worry about it budging!!

I can't wait to try more NYX products? Have you got any favourite products? :)

A Deep Plum Lip For Christmas | Stila

When it comes to winter and Christmas nights out, I love nothing better than a simple make-up look with a statement dark lip. I am always looking for a new dark colour which is  long lasting, smudge proof and suits my skin tone!

This Stila Liquid Lipstick - Amore has everything rolled into one...

The colour is a beautiful deep plum, which isn't too dark or to bright it's that perfect in between...

As you can see it does look like it has a shine when first applied but once you have applied it to the lip and let it set it does dry to a matte, without the dryness of a normal matte lipstick. I have to say it is quite difficult to apply evenly as it is quite a thin liquid, I ten to line the lips with it first then fill it in adding a little extra to the centre of the lip. But the finished result is lovely, I am definitely going to be getting my wear out of this and think I have fell in love with liquid lipsticks - they last all day and don't feel thick or drying on the skin!

This range does have a lot of different shades so if this is a little dark for you, take a look at the range I'm sure they'll have one for you. The formula is amazing and I love this for a Christmas lip I will definitely be getting my wear out of this over Christmas and New Year - that's for sure!

Have you tried Stila Liquid Lipsticks? What are your thoughts! :)

Ho Ho Ho, it's nearly Christmas! Today I thought I'd share with you some pictures from my trip this past week to Manchester! I hadn't been before and heard they had a great Christmas market so we went and had a lovely festive time, shopping and browsing the markets and getting into that Christmas spirit!

Watch out for a Christmas photo overload ...

There were so many pretty lights, it looks even better at night!

The best mini dutch pancakes EVER with Nutella - could eat them all day everyday.

The food stalls are sooooo yummy OMG!

How cool are these handmade characters ...

This is The Windmill at the main market where we had drinks its lovely to look over the christmas markets and take in the Christmas atmosphere!

It was lovely to go at Christmas and there was so many Christmas markets to visit! I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a little festive break away.

It's unbelievable to think Christmas is this week, I am super excited I just wish it could last longer - it's my favourite time of year! Nothing beats spending time with the family and making Christmas memories that's for sure. Christmas Jumpers & Feeding Reindeer

Helloooo! I'm back with another festive post... I can't believe Christmas is 12 days away, I woke up this morning and the excitement is real. I'm going to spend my Sunday wrapping Christmas presents, watching films and then I am off to my work Christmas party tonight!

This week I went to Beamish for the day, our yearly Christmas tradition! It was a great day and definitley got me in the Christmas spirit so I thought I would share with you some nice festive pictures I took,  along with a few new winter fashion pieces I have purchased this year!

Enjoy....

I get lost in this fur hood, so soft and cosy - so happy with this purchase!

Each year feeding reindeer is a must! They are so cute and on this day they were super hungry, couldn't get enough of that moss!

This is the first year I have actually enjoyed wearing hats! I have bought a couple and have been getting my wear out of them! This pom pom and jewels make the hat warm and stunning,  I LOVE it. Plus you don't have to worry about those bad hair days - getting ready is a whole lot easier!

Let's not forget a cute Christmas jumper, this is a new one I've added to my pile it's really soft and comfy, simple but cute :)

Coat - TK Max (you can also get it here from Bloomingdales)
Jumper - Matalan
Hat - Christmas Market - I have seen a lot of similar at different markets so keep an eye out! :)

I hope you enjoyed this little festive post, I love wearing cosy jumpers and coats at this time of year! Definitely my favourite thing to buy - plus it snowed yesterday so we definitely need to start wrapping up in those Christmas winter warmers!

Have a lovely Sunday - are you doing anything festive today? Let me know! :)

The Perfect Christmas Evening!

When those dark nights creep in, the weather gets colder and Christmas tree is up there is nowhere I would rather be than at home surrounded by the decorations, candles and twinkle lights enjoying my favourite Christmas movies and treats!

This is what my perfect Christmas cosy night in looks like...

Nothing beats decorated iced butter biscuits - takes me back to my childhood! Especially when the icing isn't set ...AMAZING!

I love how cosy my house feels at Christmas, I could hibernate here all winter. This is our Disney tree of the world, the majority of decorations are from Disney World the rest are from all over the world that we've received as gifts or picked up on our travels.

What better way to wash down those biscuits than a nice hot chocolate - I use Options Mint Choc with mini marshmallows on top :)

I can't recommend this WoodWick candle enough! It is AMAZING - it has four wicks and crackles as it burns, just like a fire place - plus the Cinnamon scent makes the room smell amazing as soon as it is lit! We've burnt it for hours and it has still hardly went down! If you see these you must get one!!!!!

The Grinch - My favourite!

What better way to get in the spirit than a Christmas hat in my little grotto!

So there is is my perfect Christmas night with a few of my favourite things! I'm hoping this run up to Christmas slows down I need many more nights like these and it is only TWO WEEKS today until Christmas day... where has the time gone!

I hope you are enjoying the festive season and are enjoying lots of nights like these! Because before we know it Santa will be on his way....

What are your favourite things to do on your perfect Christmas night in? :)
